It is with great pleasure that we announce that Demetriou General Agency, Inc., now in its 84th year, has acquired the Greenwich Agency, among New York’s oldest and best known general agencies. This follows our news release in August announcing the purchase of H. Al. Roth Agency. We have operated the consolidated enterprises starting the 1st of September, 2009. The experienced staff at the Greenwich Agency joins the professionals at Demetriou General Agency, Inc. in our Madison Avenue headquarters in Manhattan.

For New York and New Jersey agents and brokers, this announcement augurs expanded markets, combined, enhanced professional service from our uniquely qualified joint staff, added underwriting strength and, most of all, the continuation of the high expectation agents and brokers have grown to appreciate from both enterprises.

In addition to this, we announce that we will shortly complete one additional acquisitions which we anticipate concluding in September, as we continue to expand.

In short, these are very exciting times for our fresh and forward thinking agency. We aim every day to sustain a muscular, bright approach to underwriting, by staying flexible, limiting our growth to careful, strategic advances and striving ever to sustain our reputation by being neither too large nor too small, but by being always attentive to our agents and broker “partners.”
